Sunflower Projects

Hello crafty friends.  Today I'm sharing some beautiful Sunflower files I created.  First I have the Sunflower Envelope Box Card.  It is so beautiful plus is it easy to make.  I even have a video to follow for putting this card together.

To coordinate with the card there is a Sunflower Box that measures 4x4x2.  What a lovely gift and card to give and receive.  The paper I used is Graphic 45 - Garden Goddess and AC Textured Card Stock.

Sunflowers ~ with Cyndy G

Good morning, today I am sharing a project using files from My Scrap Chick.  I used the Sunflower 3D Rosette and leaves which can be found in the Sunflowers and Bumble Bees Bundle to make this project.  I found this cute little tin milk can on clearance at Hobby Lobby and immediately thought "This would be so cute with a sunflower in it."

I shrunk the size of the sunflower by about 45% since my can is only four inches tall.  I cut an image from Graphic 45 - French Country and glued it to the front and added a bow.  I think it is just adorable!

I don't know if you have ever used any of the rosettes from My Scrap Chick but they are Amazing!  Usually when I am making a rosette I am struggling to hold it together which I try to hot glue it and always burn my fingers.  The rosettes that My Scrap Chick makes have little thread holes at the bottom.  After you fold them and make your circle you thread string through the holes and gently tighten until your rosette is created, knot your string and you have a rosette.  No more burned fingers!  The only thing I would caution about is to make sure you don't use sewing thread, it would be too thin and would rip right through your holes.  I have found that twine works great.  Thank you for stopping by today.

Sunflower Card ~ with Cyndy G

Hello today I am sharing this beautiful card from My Scrap Chick.  It can be found in the Sunflowers and Bumble Bees Bundle.  This kit is awesome and has a wonderful Sunflower rosette!  I decided to make the Sunflower A2 Shape Card because I thought it would make a perfect "Get Well" card for a friend.

It is so sweet.  There are a lot of pieces but nothing difficult to put together.  I creased all my petals and inked the edges of all the pieces to give the flower more depth.  I like that it is an A2 so it won't cost a lot to mail.  I think I will be using this card often.  Thank you for stopping by.

Sunflower Box ~ with Cyndy G.

Hello, today I am sharing a beautiful Sunflower 3D Hex Box from the kit JGW Sunflower Sunshine by SVG Attic.
Everything in this kit is stunning.  I made the box as a gift for a friend of mine.  I know she will love it.

Sunflower Box

The box is surprisingly easy.  You just need some time to put all the petals together.
It was also the first time I have done a rosette.  I had my son help me hold it while I glued it down.

I used Graphic 45 - French Country.  It is out right now as a Deluxe Collectors Edition.

Thank you for stopping by.

Sunflower Field

One day while just driving around town my mom ran across a sunflower field.  She called me and asked if I wanted to grab my camera and go take pictures with her, of course I said yes.  I'm not sure what this farmer grows the sunflowers for but they sure do make for some pretty pictures!  These are two of my favorite ones.

I love taking sunflower pictures!
