Toy Box Box Card - with Cyndy G

Good morning.  Today I have a fun new card to share with you, the Toy Box Box Card.  This cute card was inspired by the toy box my children had when they were little.  The toy box was a central piece of furniture in our family room for a lot of years.  I miss the days of watching the kids leaning into it searching for that one toy.  What a fun card for boys and girls alike.  The card goes together quickly so if you are searching for a card for that special toddler this may be just what you need.

Mother Goose ~ with Cyndy G

Good morning.  Today I am sharing a project from My Scrap Chick.  I used the Pop Up Frames: Classic Tall to make some cute home decor pieces.  They even come with a stand so you use them on a dresser or shelf.

I used Graphic 45 - Mother Goose.  My local Tuesday Morning had this paper on sale and I bought all that they had.  I used the Story time cards to make my pictures.

I only used three layers of the frame and I fussy cut my images and used foam tape to give them a 3d effect.  I love this type of crafting.  I remember when I was young my Mom would take us out to look at the outdated calendars and let us pick the one we liked and we would make these pictures.  Such fond memories!

These would look so cute in a baby's nursery.

Trendy Bakers Twine Sweet Baby Girl ~ with Cyndy G

Hello crafty friends - Cyndy from Cyndy G Time Made for Me.  Today I am sharing a project using two of the featured products this month:  Cotton Candy Trendy Bakers Twine and the Candy Cubes - 2" x 2" Square Clear Boxes.

Beautiful baby card with clear blocks filled with candy

I made a card using the Scrap Panel card from Snapdragon Snippets and paper by Maja Designs - Vintage Baby.  The color of the Cotton Candy Trendy Bakers Twine matches perfectly.  I love how delicate the twine looks with the card.

For the blocks I used the Candy Cubes - 2" x 2" Square Clear Boxes and transformed them into baby blocks using the Alpha Blocks cutting file from SVG Attic glued to the front of the cube. Then I added a little bow of Cotton Candy Trendy Bakers Twine.  This would be such a cute favor box at a baby shower and they are so easy to make!  I filled the boxes with pink and silver wrapped candy kisses.

She's Having A Baby ~ with Cyndy G.

Having a baby is such a joyous time for a family.  I have had and continue to have a great deal of joy watching my children grow but I admit I love the "baby stage" the best.  For me there is nothing better than rocking a baby while they sleep on your shoulder.  Today I have a project to share that I made for very special members of our SVG Attic family, Mike and Kenzie.

3d paper bunny and baby card

I love the soft baby blues.  I used some older Making Memories, Pitter Patter paper I had for the bunny and the stunning paper on the card is Maja Design, Vintage Baby.

3d card with teddybear, rocking horse and carriage

For the base of the card I used the Step Card SVG Collection.
I modified the width of the right side slightly so it would look more like a dresser.

Side view of card

To make the dresser I used some basic shapes.  I used the rectangle for the dresser and drawers and interstate sign for the molding on the bottom of the dresser.

The carriage and rocking horse I used are in the SDS Rockabye Baby Cards kit.
The teddy bear is in the JGW 3 Stockings kit.

I just love this JGW 3D Button Jointed Bunny.  I wanted to soften his features so I used Brown for the eyes and nose.  I would recommend this kit to anyone wanting to make an impression with paper crafting.  He is worth the time.  I have made two of these so far and I think I will make more!

If you want to try one with a pattern paper take your time to think through the direction of the pattern on each piece so you can configure it the right way on your cutting mat.

He even has a cute little tail!  I hope you have enjoyed seeing my project as I had making it.
Congratulations Mike and Kenzie!

Bedtime Stories SVG Kit

Bedtime Stories SVG Kit is still a favorite of mine.  I love the nursery rhyme projects in this kit.  So, when my sister asked me if I could make some favor boxed for her nurses baby shower, I knew I wanted to used the castle somehow.  I remember my mom saying "That does look very babyish" when I showed her the picture.  Then Brigit posted her project,  Humpty Dumpty Treat Holder, and my project was born.

I used the following kits to create my center piece and treat boxes:

Bedtime Stories
Moonlight Garden Party
Camp S'mores
Cuddly Storybook Friends SVG Collection
