Sky Rocket in Flight ~ with Cyndy G.

Happy Friday everyone.  I hope some of you are starting to thaw out.  Here in the South we are back to unseasonably warm weather.  Today will be 70 degrees!  I love living in the South.  You just get a taste of winter and then it is gone.

3d svg paper rocket

Today I am sharing with you the 3d Model Rocket from SVG Outta This World.  I am using it as a favor at my son's birthday party.  I scaled it down to 70% and it turned out so cute!  It is about 5" tall.

3d svg rocket

Since I made it small I used the panels that did not have the little holes in them - I would of been weeding those little holes out all week if I had cut them.  I added tiny pearls to give it a little  more character and dimension.  My son just loves them.  Thank you for stopping by today.

Happy New Year ~ with Cyndy G.

Happy Friday.  I still can't believe it is the end of 2016.  I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and has a safe and happy New Year.  Today I am sharing with you the 3D Champagne Glass from JGW New Years Celebration.

3d svg glass

This cute glass is about the size of a real wine glass.  I added pearl strands to the seams of my glass.

3d SVG Glass

To give the impression of bubbles in a champagne glass I added gemstones.
My treats are Pirouline, I just love these chocolates!  Thank you for stopping by today and I'll see you next year :)

Christmas Angel ~ with Cyndy G.

Happy Friday crafters!  I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  I took my family on a first time trip to Disney World and we had a wonderful time.  The only problem is, since there was no turkey and no Christmas decorating, I have to keep reminding myself that Christmas is almost here.  To help get me started on some of my Christmas decorating I made the JGW Liberty Angel and converted her into a tree topper.

She goes together pretty easily.  I was afraid to tackle the hair technique Jodi shares in her tutorial
so I might have to redo her head trying it out ;)

I just love these angels!  I also made one for breast cancer awareness (with no hair).  To make her fit on the tree I left off the legs and didn't put the bottom on her torso.  It worked perfectly!

I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season, thanks for stopping by.

Independence Day Decorations ~ with Cyndy G.

Happy Friday! This week I decided to create some decorations for the fourth of July.
I made the Star Bunting and American Eagle from JGW American Eagle Wreath.

Star bunting with American Eagle and Uncle Sam Hat

I love the eagle from this set but wanted it to be free standing so I used the base of the Star Block Stand from JGW Star Spangled 4th and glue my eagle to the front of the support.

American eagle

I used Authentique Honor Collection - which I Love!  I picked it up at Country Craft Creations, a little independent store on-line.  I bought the album kit that included this super cute
crinkle red, white and blue crinkle ribbon!

Star bunting

I used Uncle Sam's Hat that is also in the JGW Star Spangled 4th set.
I put weights in the hat (it is a box) to hold my bunting.

Thank you for stopping by today.  Have a safe 4th of July!

Cupcake Purse ~ with Cyndy G.

Today I am sharing with you a simple little  purse from the Pretty Purses kit.  It goes together very quickly!  So if you need a little bag, this is just the one for you.  I used a magnet to hold the purse closed.

Pretty Purses

I used my favorite go to paper Graphic 45.  This paper is from the World's Fair Collection.

Pretty Purses

It is the perfect size for a little cupcake.  You may have noticed that this is not a cupcake, I didn't have one, so I used a candle that I had.  It is a little bigger than a mini cupcake
and not quite as big as a full sized cupcake.

This bag does take a sheet and a half of 12x12 paper but you only have to glue the flap to close it.

Thank you for stopping by.

Steampunk Bear ~ with Cyndy G.

Hello and happy Friday.  I have a super fun project to share today.
I used the JGW 3d Teddy Bear to create this Steampunk bear.

3d Teddy Bear

I used the Mourner's hat out of the JGW Raven Quest.  This hat is my favorite go to hat.  It is so easy to make and it looks fabulous.  I cut it at about 55%.  The paper I used is from Marion Smith Designs and it is beautiful.  I don't know if you can tell in the photo but the pattern on the paper is sheets of metal.  This is very thick paper and it is great for paper crafting.

3d paper steampunk teddy bear

The goggles are from SDS Ready For Take Off and the clock is from JGW New Years Celebration.

3d paper steampunk bear3d paper steampunk bear

I used buttons that look like metal and the bow is in the file with the mourner's hat.
To get the hat to fit the way I wanted, I left off the right ear.

I hope you have enjoyed my project today.  Thank you for stopping by.

Ice Princess ~ with Cyndy G

Happy Friday everyone!  Today I am sharing the beautiful JGW Renaissance Castle with a Frozen twist.  We do an auction fund raiser for our school and this year a new business My Pretty Princess Party graciously donated two party packages.  After seeing Jodi's version of this castle I decided that I would make a Princess centerpiece to go with the auction package.

3d paper Frozen castle

They asked that I do the castle in a Frozen theme.  I love how it turned out.  I replace the hearts with snowflakes and added some Jolee's snowflake stickers.

3d paper frozen castle

There is so much attention to detail with this project.

3d paper frozen castle

This is a very sizable castle and it is going to make a spectacular centerpiece.
Hope you have a wonderfully crafty weekend.

Spring is in the Air ~ with Cyndy

I know some of you are still getting snow but here in the South, the flowers are starting to bloom!  Today I decided to share a spring project and with Easter right around the corner - it's very early this year - it's time to start thinking spring.

The egg is the pineapple out of the JGW Tropical Haven kit.  I hinged the top with one of the decorative panels.  Instead of gluing the tab over the top of the egg, I glued it to the lid. The paper on the egg is from Graphic 45, Once Upon a Spring Time.  This is one of my favorite stacks!

The bird is from the SDS Home Tweet Home kit.  He is a little box.  I shrunk mine down to 2" so he would fit in the egg.  I just love how he turned out.  Thank you for stopping by today.

Turkey Folk Art ~ with Cyndy

Hello crafters, hope you are all busy working on your holiday projects!  I know I continue to be :)  I wanted to share with you the AMAZING fold art Turkey Jodi created - it is in the JGW Turkey Trot kit.  I just love this little guy!

He was a lot of work but definitely worth the time!  I really like his head.

There is even a little detail for his back side so if you use him as your centerpiece
he looks good from every angel.

SDS Hocus Pocus ~ with Cyndy G.

Today I wanted to share with you the new SDS Hocus Pocus Kit.  There are so many cute projects in this kit.  Halloween has always been a very fun holiday for me and my family.  My kids get so excited around this time of year!

Cards, spider, and springy pumpkin

All the projects in this kit are quick and easy to put together and they have such Wow factor.
I think my favorite piece of this kit is the potion bottle card.

This springy pumpkin is so fun.  You can use your favorite patterned paper like I did or you can use solid color paper.  This pumpkin goes together so quickly and looks so complicated.

I love this little box.  I used some Limeade - Trendy Twine to tie the box shut.

And last but not least a scary spider!

I added little red eyes to my spider, so spooky!

I hope you have enjoyed my projects today!
I look forward to seeing what you do with this fun new kit.

Jolly Old Saint Nicholas, Lean Your Ear This Way ~ with Cyndy G

Can you believe it is time to start thinking about Christmas.  I remember as a child going to the mall and seeing Santa's Chair with the sign saying when he would arrive.  Still to this day I get a little excited when I see his chair sitting awaiting his arrival.  So you can imagine my delight when I saw the new kit JGW Santas Repose!  I choose to do Santa's Chair.

3d svg Santa's Chair

I love this over-sized chair.  From the extra cushion on the back to the rolled arms.

Close up of Santa's Chair

Isn't this paper cute!  It is Maja Design - Vintage Winter, it is made in Sweden but there are a couple of scrapbook supply stores on-line that sell it here in America.  It has a very nice weight and works well with these projects.

In Jodi's design of this chair she has this Santa tag on the front but
I didn't want to cover up my cute paper so I put mine on the back.

Back of Santa Chair

I just love this tag.  The detail is wonderful!

And the best part of the chair is that the bottom comes off and you can fit a gift card in it.

I hope you have enjoyed my project today.

Garden Goddess ~ with Cyndy G.

It seems like just a few weeks ago summer was starting and now kids are starting to go back to school.  Don't forget tomorrow is the SVG Attic and 3 Girl JAM Back to School Blog Hop.  There will be plenty of inspiration for your Back to School projects and prizes!

For my project today I decided to make the Garden Goddess Canister from the JGW Summer Canister kit.

3d lady gardener box - Graphic 45 - Home Sweet Home

I used Graphic 45, Home Sweet Home papers.  They fit this project perfectly.

Close up of garden seed packets

I substituted the flower pot that comes with the file with the seed packets
from one of the sheets of Graphic 45 paper.

Close up of face.

She has a sweet face.  I added a touch of chalk to give her rosy cheeks.

Close up of garden hat.

I really like her little garden hat.  I added some ribbon I received from
3 Girl Jam.  I love the crinkle ribbon, it is very light and easy to use.

I hope you have enjoyed my project today and please join us for the blog hop tomorrow.

Breast Cancer Angel ~ with Cyndy

Hello today I bring you my version of the JGW Liberty Angel.  I turned mine into a Breast Cancer Angel.

3d paper Breast Cancer Angel

I love the hair on Jodi's version of the angel but I thought it more fitting to make mine with just a bow around her head.  A tribute to my dear friend Tami who is fighting breast cancer right now.

Close of angel's face

I also changed out the word America for Courage.

Close up of the banner "Courage"

I used the hearts and put them on a breast cancer ribbon I had.

I am very pleased with the way my angel came together.  I will say if you decided to take this project on give yourself plenty of time and don't rush it.  She has a brilliant design and I love all the details that are included but she is one of the harder pieces I have done.  I just love her and I plan to make more!  I hope you have enjoyed my project today!
