We'll Always Have Paris ~ with Cyndy

We'll always have Paris (this line was used in at least seven different movies).  That's what I think when I look at the 3d Eiffel Tower from SDS Paris Voyage.  Summer always makes me dream about traveling to far away places and Paris is definitely on my list of places I want to see.  I had been holding on to a stash of Graphic 45, Come Away With Me ~ waiting for the perfect project and I knew this was it!

3d paper display with travel case, Eiffel tower, train and plane.

The Round Traveling Case from JGW Fashionable French went together so nicely.  It has straight edges that make it easier to put together.  Just take an extra minute to make sure your top strap is facing the right way
(I put mine on backwards).  I didn't re-size this box.

Round travel case made out of paper.

The 3d Eiffel Tower  is from SDS Paris Voyage, I cut this at the size it imports.
Make sure to take a look at the directions for this one, it is a little tricky.
I love the detail in this file, it is worth the time to put it together.

The Bi-plane is in the JGW Flight School and is really cute.
It's smaller than I thought it would be, so I didn't have to re-size it.

The train is from JGW Christmas Express.  It was too big so I cut it out at 50%.  I left off the Christmas elements and added some squares on the box car to make it look like a passenger car.

3d paper train

I put floral foam blocks in the bottom of the case and covered them with my shredded paper.  I used floral wire with the plane to make it look like it was flying.  I feed it through the tail and then looped it back around  and stuck the end in the foam block.

I just love the way everything turned out!
The Graphic 45 paper fit the project perfectly, I'm glad I still had it.
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed my project.

Teacher Appreciation Day! ~ with Cyndy

Today is Teacher Appreciation Day!  I hope everyone takes a moment to say Thank you to all the dedicated men and women who spend their days molding our children.  It is not an easy task they have.  In honor of Teacher Appreciation Day I decided to make the Teacher Box Card and School Bus box from the SDS Gearing Up 4 School set.

The teacher card is so cute with apple and pencil.

I used my favorite line of paper again.  Graphic 45, ABC Primer.  This is a collection they brought back in the collector's edition.

School bus box

I cut my bus at 80% and it is still a nice size.  The bus is about 6.5 inches long.

As the end of the school year approaches don't forget about the saints driving our children to school.  They would sure appreciate a little "Thank you" as well.  There is also a Bus Box Card that is super cute in the JGW Back 2 School set (click the link to see it).

I hope you have enjoyed my project today.
